Element Up-take in a Forest Ecosystem

Purpose

Follow up-take of a non-radioactive tracer element in a forest ecosystem. The tracers are non-toxic and in minute quantities. The elements will be in the rare-earth series of elements.

Mineral Cycling in a Forest

Purpose

Place three ten-pound rainbow trout along streambank; cover fish with hardware cloth and chicken wire. Take several 10 gm samples above and below the site where the fish are to be laid out. The study is to follow stable tracers in a stream-forest ecosyst
