Maple Control Trial

Purpose

Cut maple stumps will be treated with herbicides (Garlon 3A, Garlon 4, 2,4-D) throughout summer 1983; sprout clumps will be sprayed with Triclopyr plus 2,4-D as above.

Chemical Thinning of Douglas-fir and Hardwood Control

Purpose

Inject (hack and squirt) approximately 30 bigleaf maple, madrone, and small Douglas-fir (less than 6") with ARSENAL herbicide, GARLON 3A, 2,4-D. (Five to six trees treated during four times.)
