Artificial Inoculation of Decay Fungi into Douglas-fir with Rifle and Shotgun to Produce Wildlife Trees in Western Oregon

Purpose

To evaluate the effectiveness of innoculating primarily Douglas-fir trees with rifles and shotguns. Effectiveness will be measured by the incidence of foraging and cavity formation by birds and by the presence of wood decay as indicated by fungal conks. T
